Setting up a head stick for adding bead accents follows the same basic rules used for setting up a headstick for a plain arrowhead pattern:
Review of Basic rules:
The number of warp strands for the arrowhead color must be an even number.
The number of warp strands for the background color must be equal to or greater then the number of the arrowhead color warp strands.
The sequence for casting the warp strands onto the headstick is:
½ the background color warp strands.
arrowhead color warp strands.
½ the background color warp strands.
Beading set-up:
Beads are strung on four of the arrowhead colored warp strands. The two middle warp strands and the two edge strands.
The over under configuration of the warp strands on the headstick is determined by the configuration of the two middle warp strands of the arrowhead color.
The arrowhed pattern can be worked point down or point up.
