2 Count Matrix 16 Strand Border Description: This is an openface, 16 strand, 2 count matrix, beaded heart pattern. Each border is made up of 16 strands. 8 of the strands are used as bead carrier strands.In each layer of the shed, beads are strung on every other strand. The result is, starting next to the center element, beads are strung on strands 1,4, 5, 8, 9, 12, 13, and 16. If worsted weight yarn is used the border would be about 1 inch wide. |

3 Count Matrix 18 Strand Border Description: This is an openface, 18 strand, 3 count matrix, beaded heart pattern. Each border is made up of 18 strands. 6 of the strands are used as bead carrier strands. In each layer of the shed, beads are strung on every third strand. The result is, starting next to the center element, beads are strung on strands 1, 6, 7, 12, 13, and 18. If worsted weight yarn is used the border would slightly over 1 inch wide. |
