    NOTES:

    The differences between the four headstick setups are small but they must be considered when aditional bands of finger weaving are joined to make a wider work-piece.

    When a odd number of warp strands are used, the weft strands turn the same way on each end of the work-piece.

    When a even number of warp strands are used:
  • If the selected weft strand starts is in the bottom shed layer, the weft strand will become a warp strand in the top layer of the shed.
  • If the selected weft strand starts is in the top shed layer, the weft strand will become a warp strand in the bottom layer of the shed.
