[Part 4] Left side start; first strand in top layer.

This part of the tutorial uses two sets of yarn strands that have different colors and an even number of strands.
The top layer of the shed is on the right to left diagonal.
The first strand on the left hand side is in the top layer of the shed.

Start Tutorial

Set up the head sticks. Then pick up the shed with the right hand.

Start weaving on the left hand side, weave until there are two bottom yarn strands remaining in the left hand color band.

Starts the interlock of the two color bands.

Reach under the first bottom layer yarn strand.

Pick up the first top layer yarn strand of the right hand color band.

Pull the first top layer yarn strand of the right hand color band over the last bottom layer yarn strand of the left hand color band .

Move the first yarn strand of the left hand color band so that it is over the index finger of the right hand. This places the strand in the top layer of the shed.

Place the first right side top strand under the right hand index finger.

Use the thumb and index finger of the left hand to pick up the second left hand color bottom strand.

Use the left hand thumb and index finger to pull the second left hand color bottom strand under the first left hand color bottom strand.

Transfer the last two left hand color band yarn strands to the index finger of the the left hand.

This completes the interlocking of the two color bands.

[OBSERVE] the first two strands of the right hand color band are in the bottom layer of the shed.

[NOTE] The sequence of steps to form the interlock can be vary. The important thing is that the over/undner configuration is maintained.
